“Lundy Canyon Wild Flowers 15” by David Cresine
Now that spring is finally upon us, I’m starting to see wild mustard plants and California poppies alighting our freeway medians and hills with their vibrant yellow and orange colors. It’s really a feast for the eyes. What better way to celebrate the return of spring, with its longer days, warming temperatures, and the birth of new plant and animal life than with a photo contest dedicated to this dazzling time of year?
That’s right: I’m happy to announce the opening of our Photobird Photo Contest for April. The theme this month is “Spring”. The contest, as always, is free to enter. “Spring” is such an evocative theme. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful entries we’ll no doubt be getting in the days and weeks ahead from you, our creative Photobird users, and the photography community.
As you know, each month we choose one Photobird Award Winner for the best overall entry of the month, while your votes determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award, the most popular entry of the month. Each of our winners receives the following prizes:
• Photobird account with 500MB storage space
• 1GB SanDisk Ultra II memory card
• Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson
So be sure to read more details about the monthly contest here. And click here to enter the April contest. While you’re at it, be sure to vote for your favorite entries to help decide the People’s Choice Award.
If you have any questions, ask away in the Photobird forums.
